Fall-ing

FallY'all; One layer autumn

I know it's autumn in the northern hemisphere, but we are just in spring! That makes is very hard to think 'autumn' when we are just longing for warmth and sun and blossom.

I was thinking about this and relating it to the sentiment.  Just imagine what the life of a leaf is like: springing out of a branch as a tiny dot, stretching and growing and spreading out into a big, grownup leaf.  Dancing around in the sunshine and breezes, maybe conversing with a visiting bird or butterfly, having a shower on dry, thirsty days in summer.  Then in autumn, changing into your vibrant coloured coat ready to wave goodbye in a clear sky and stiff breeze, knowing your coat isn't enough to keep you warm through the winter, but leaving behind the bud promise of another leaf in the spring.

Kaiser antique gold spray.  Leaf clear stamps, stamped using both sides, distress inks.  Sentiment stamp.  Gold pen border handdrawn.

OOOhhhh I love getting inky.
